I am in phase three of four in my apprenticeship to become a CPM, studying under Deb Phillips, CPM in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Why use a student?
When you use me as your "midwife" for care, you do so knowing that I am in training and that your midwife is actually my preceptor,
Deb Phillips, CPM. She is present and supervising everything for your pregnancy, birth and postpartum and has 44 years of experience, serving over 1,500 families. You'll receive the same wonderful care you would normally in her practice, with me in the primary role throughout the process. In allowing me to have to honor to learn from you, you get $1,000 off of the global fee for home birth midwifery in our practice.

Home Birth?
If you've never thought about home birth, I would look into documentaries like "The Business of Being Born" & "Why Not Home."
I never want to try and convince a mother that she should have a home birth, but if she desires one and is low risk, I hope to be able to serve her or send her in the direction of someone who can!
