Refund Policy

I understand that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys are deeply personal and sometimes unpredictable. I am committed to being flexible and respectful while maintaining fair boundaries around my time, availability, and preparation.

Please review my refund and cancellation policy for each of my services below:

General Policy

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your services. This deposit secures your spot on my calendar and covers the time, planning, and preparation I invest prior to your service date.
Remaining balances are due by 36 weeks of pregnancy.

Doula Services

  • Deposits are non-refundable, even in the event of a change in birth plan or early/unexpected delivery.

  • If services are canceled prior to 34 weeks, any payments beyond the deposit may be refunded.

  • If services are canceled after 34 weeks, no refunds will be issued.

  • If I am unable to attend your birth due to my own emergency or circumstances beyond my control, a partial refund may be offered, excluding the deposit and any services already rendered (prenatal visits, phone support, etc.). A backup doula arrangement may be available.

Placenta Encapsulation

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • If your placenta is deemed unusable (due to infection, improper storage, sent to pathology, etc.), I will refund the amount paid minus the deposit, plus gas fees, if applicable.

  • If you cancel prior to 36 weeks, I will refund the amount paid minus the deposit.

 

Birth & Postpartum Photography

  • Deposits are non-refundable due to the on-call nature and calendar commitment required.

  • If birth photography is missed due to extremely fast labor or lack of timely notification, no refund will be issued. Photos of immediate postpartum will still be taken, if notified.

  • If I am unable to attend due to my own emergency, a full refund will be given.

  • For postpartum sessions, cancellations made with at least 48 hours' notice may be rescheduled at no additional charge.

Breastfeeding Counseling

  • Virtual or in-person consultations canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable but may be rescheduled once at no charge.

  • Refunds are not issued after services have been rendered.
